Pierre is a very experienced Public Health expert, Supply Chain Innovations, Health Supply Chain transformation & HSS (Health Systems Strengthening) professional with 18+ years of experience in global procurement, pooled-procurement mechanisms, market shaping, sustainable governance, supply chain design, Comprehensive Vaccines Management (CVM), cold chain logistics, CCEs (Cold Chain Equipment), supply chain planning & innovations, and Private Sector engagement.
He led four (4) major USAID public health supply chain flagship programs (USAID-SCMS, USAID-DELIVER, USAID-SIAPS, USAID-GHSC) and provided leadership to Gavi Alliance as a Director for Vaccines Supply Chain/Delivery, Coordination and Integration. Pierre is also a member of IRC (Independent Review Committee) of Gavi Alliance that advises the CEO & the Board of Directors (BoD) of Gavi on strategic directions with regard to vaccines management focusing on supply chain Management, cold chain logistics, Cold Chain Equipments (CCEs), and HSS. Pierre provided Technical Assistance to The Global Fund (TGF), GAVI, UNFPA, DFID, EU, UNAIDS, UNICEF, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and the World Bank. He served in many countries: Cameroon, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, Rwanda, Haiti, Burundi, Ghana, Gabon, Benin, Mauritius, Kenya, Ethiopia, Italy, UK and USA.
Education: Pierre holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Supply Chain Management from the prestigious University of Cambridge (UK), a Certificate in Strategic Planning from the University of Oxford (UK), a Masters’ degree in Project Management & Development, a Masters’ degree in Management Economics (with a specialization in Health Economics & Supply Chain Management), a Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration from the Jesuit Catholic University of Central Africa (Cameroon) and a Bachelors’ degree in Philosophy from the Jesuit Gregorian University in Rome, Italy.
